She was young and beautiful. But now she is battered and dead. She is not the first and she will not be the last. I lay awake nights thinking about my next victon. May'be she will be the beautiful blond that babysits near the little store and walks down the dark alley each evening about seven. Maybe she will be the shapely blue eyed brunett that said xxx no when I asked her for a date in high school. But maybe it will not be either. But I shall cut off her female parts and deposit them for the whole city to see. So dont make it to easy for me. Keep your sisters, daughters and wives off the streets and alleys. Miss Bates was stupid. She went to the slaghter like a lamb. She did not put up a struggle. But I did. It was a ball. I first pulled the middle wire from the distributor. Then I waited for her in the library and followed her out after about two minutes. The battery must have been about dead by then. I then offered to help. She was then very willing to talk to me. I told her that my car was down the street and that I would give her a lift home. When we were away from the library walking, I said it was about time. She asked me "about time for what". I said it was about time for her to die. I grabbed her around the neck with my hand over her mouth and my other hand with a small knife at her throat. She went very willingly. Her breast felt very warm and firm under my hands. But only one thing was on my mind. Making her pay for all the brush offs that she had given me during the years prior. She died hard. She squirmed and shook as I chocked her. And her lips twiched. She let out a scream once and I kicked her in the head to shut her up. I plunged the knife into her and it broke. I then finished the job out cutting her throat. I am not sick. I am insane. But that will not stop the game. This letter should be published for all to read it. It just might save that girl in the alley. But that's up to you. It will be on your conscience. Not mine. Yes I did make that call to you also. It was just a warning. Beware....I am stalking your girls now.

The author of this screed is Robert Bolivar DePugh, and his goal was terror. For more than a decade, DePugh led a shadowy militia group known as the Minutemen. Their stated purpose was to use guerilla warfare to repel the Communist invasion they always believed was at hand. Later, they vowed to root out Communist spies they swore were entrenched in the U.S. government. War, in their minds, was always imminent, and a group of armed patriots was the last best hope for the Republic.
“He saw himself as the Paul Revere of the 20th century, that he was going to save the United States from Communism,” said Eric Beckemeier, who grew up in DePugh’s adopted hometown of Norborne and wrote a book in 2007 chronicling his movement. “It was delusions of grandeur, almost.”
DePugh was named after the revolutionary South American fighter Simon Bolivar and was raised in Independence by a father who was a Jackson County sheriff’s deputy. He bounced around several colleges in the 1940s, including a stint at the University of Missouri. In 1943, he enlisted in the Army but was discharged the next year after a psychological review noted psychoneurosis.
By the late 1950s, though, DePugh was a relative success. He had made a small fortune in veterinary medicine when he founded Biolab Corp. and created a vitamin that promised to lengthen the lifespan of dogs. The tiny town of Norborne, which is about 100 miles northwest of Columbia, actively recruited DePugh to move his company there, believing he would bring jobs.
During the late ’60s, authorities tried to connect him to various other Minutemen exploits, including a bank robbery in Seattle and a planned cyanide attack on the United Nations, but they were unsuccessful. DePugh credibly said that he had no control over the people who were nominally his followers.

"Contras and Central America (1985–2005)
Posada was met in El Salvador by CIA operative Félix Rodríguez, who told Posada that he was supporting him "at the request of a wealthy Miami benefactor".[44] Rodríguez had overseen the capture of Ernesto "Che" Guevara in 1967. He offered Posada a job as his deputy, ferrying supplies to the Contra rebels in Nicaragua, in an operation ditected by Oliver North: the pair were to coordinate drops of military supplies to the rebels, who opposed the Sandinista government.[44] Posada's fortunes rose after 1981 when the Reagan administration, which took office in that year, took a more confrontational approach to Cuba and expanded covert operations in Latin America. Posada was given a house and a car, and paid $3,000 per month, $750 for each flight he made, and sundry expenses, primarily by US Major General Richard Secord, who was directing operations for North.[47] Posada was responsible for managing supply flights from the Salvadoran base of Ilopango to the Contra rebels at the border. He was also responsible for coordinating between the Contras, their advisers in the US, and their allies in the military forces of El Salvador. Operating with the Salvadoran alias "Ramón Medina", Posada built relationships inside the government of El Salvador, its military, and its infamous death squads.[48]"

Detective Rick Fitzgerald told jurors in the trial that Thompson had indeed been a CIA covert operative in the 70s and 80s: “There is in fact some information that suggests he was an operative who was given a lot of leeway,” the police officer testified. Newspaper reports also confirmed Thompson was associated with terrorist Luis Posada Carriles, who’d blown up a Cuban passenger jet in 1976 killing 73 people on board.
""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
While Thompson walked free, the Chronicle’s Larry Maatz published this story:
“Police have uncovered evidence of what they believe was a scheme by three ex-convicts to stage lucrative robberies, use the loot to purchase automatic weapons and ship them to Latin America, then trade the guns for cocaine to be smuggled back to this country.
“They also have evidence that these men had obtained such sensitive information about the transport of money by banks and other institutions that their robberies could have netted them millions of dollars.”
Police told the newspaper they’d found Thompson, Abbott and Hennessey were on the verge of getting a federal licence to deal in automatic weapons, via the assistance of a federal prison guard.
“At least one weapons transaction had been discussed in detail by the principals, law enforcement officials have been informed,” reported the newspaper. “A $200,000 cache of M-16 automatic rifles, leftovers from the Vietnam War and currently in storage in Hong Kong, was to be obtained and shipped to South America…The guard has been questioned by authorities but is facing no criminal charge.”
Police were reportedly stunned at the level of detail the men had amassed about bank armoured car shipments. “Some of the information found in those notes is known to only four or five persons within the bank,” one agent told the paper. Just one robbery the men were planning would have netted up to $6 million in 1980 money, but the scheme fell apart when John Gordon Abbott was pulled over for speeding near San Jose in that “incident” with the highway patrol, and fled the vehicle. That, you’ll recall, was November 16, 1980 – a week after Valerie’s disappearance and ten days before the shootout with the Mounties in Canada.
But that wasn’t all the Mounties found.
If they needed proof of an elaborate criminal enterprise, they found it in spades in Abbott’s rented apartment in Rossland, British Columbia. Searching it after the shootout, the Mounties located nearly two dozen filing boxes full of the names of bank staff, delivery routes, armoured car drivers, the works, across a number of major banks and armoured car companies. It “included the names of dispatchers, drivers, home addresses, the names of their children, social security numbers, driver’s licence numbers and their daily schedules.”
“Ominously,” reported the Chronicle, “it also included the ages of the children and where they went to school.”
Someone, somewhere, had gone to a lot of trouble to provide Abbott and his men with a blistering array of information capable of being used to threaten key bank personnel.

Problem with the cell type of org. is that the cells have more autonomy, and more easily subverted. Attachments:

The structure would depend on the goal. If you need a very specific outcome on a very specific date, then you are best organizationally to keep a strong central command. If your goals are not tied to a fixed outcome on a fixed timeline, you can be more flexible in how the organization is structured.
After reading so much last year about cults, I think there are ways to filter out people that are subversive.

New World Liberation Front (NWLF)
The New World Liberation Front (NWLF) was a tiny California-based militant anti-capitalist group terrorist group. New World Liberation Front claimed responsibility for approximately 70 bombings in the San Francisco Bay area between 1974 and 1978. In 1970, a small group of radicals joined together in San Francisco to form the New World Liberation Front (NWLF). The NWLF first appeared in the wake of the SLA drama, with a bombing in September, 1974, directed against a San Francisco stock brokerage firm.
According to John Wolf, the NWLF was responsible for 30 bombings over the course of the next 7 years. The NWLF claimed to be a "moral" revolutionary group, and it attacked only "legitimate" targets symbolized by corporate capitalism. Utility companies were a favorite, and the NWLF also bombed two sheriff’s vehicles in the San Francisco area. They were at war with the establishment.
IN an interview with Liberation news Service published on 03 October 1970s, Huey P. Newton stated that "The New World Liberation Front will really be a new International. It will be a coalition of many groups within this country -- many ethnic groups. The Black Panther Party will be a caucus within a broader front. The NWLF will represent all struggling people throughout the world. Actually, It's already been launched through the conference that was held in Korea.... so we have high hopes that this will be a structure that will be able to construct a viable revolutionary movement. ..."
New World Liberation Front was responsible for a series of bombings on the American West Coast. It bombed various sites on behalf of local political issues -- utility rates, low-income housing, local jail conditions. NWLF claimed to concentrate its activities on business offices and utilities associated with the " ruling class ". Other targets have included hotels and clubs. New World Liberation Front claimed responsibility for approximately 70 bombings in the San Francisco Bay area between 1974 and 1978 and was believed to be responsible for another 26 bombings in other Northern California cities.
